went in for a coffee to steady the nerves after a week of earthquakes. thank goodness the Globe has opened up again and has not been damaged. Had a great coffee, exactly the way I wanted it.
came in today, Valentines day, got served by a older lady with a bun(curly hair) she was HORRIBLE!!! RUDE didnt even smile at any of us!! i wil never return ever! i am disscusted as we have been there a few times i couldn't believe how rude she was! the other 3 staff were fine but that lady DONT GO THERE EVER!!!!!!! SHE IS HORIBLE!!!!!
oh dear oh dear oh dear. i had been a regular for ages becuz i thought it was the absolute bees knees, but i have had to change venues. a waitress poured all maple syrup ALL over my black top very recently and 'supposedly' went out back to give it a clean - WHATEVER! the top was just as dirty as it had been before. oh she sed, here's a card for a complimentary coffee; no 'would you like us to get it cleaned for you?' how about i dont bother coming back in here ever again???????
Had a Mocha here yesterday and while it tasted great it had 'heaps' of chocolate sprinkled over the top... I had to spoon it off, all a bit messy really ;-) First bad cup i have had there.
Great coffee.
Still has one of the best coffees in town. Good and healthy food too. The only thing is that sometimes I have to wait for a coffee very long, it arrives long after I've finished with my food.
The Globe is great. Not only is the coffee great, but I love the way when I go in there and just want a poached egg on a bagel with some hollandaise they grant my wish instead of getting all silly and saying 'Oh, that's not on the menu.' I also love that range of sauces, pickles, dressings and jams that they are now selling. These make great gifts.
What an awesome cafe - coffee is seriously good (and you can even buy the beans for home)and both the cabinet food and menu is not only great value for money but some of the tastiest food I've had in a long time at a cafe. Awesome atmosphere and great artwork. This cafe is a well known land mark on High Street and worth visiting - you won't be disappointed.
