One of the best coffees in central nth island.

Review of French Cafe by coffee taster on Sun, 28 Jan 2007:

On the west coast? The last good coffee heading south on this side of the south island. Well worth finding this cafe.

Review of The Fix by coffee taster on Sat, 10 Feb 2007:

This man's coffee changed my life and made me a dedicated 'good coffee only' drinker.
Busy cafe as soon as it opens, so get in early.

Review of CPR by coffee taster on Wed, 04 Apr 2007:

This coffee is great stuff! It's what you have been looking for when you are hanging loose in wine country. A great place to take friends or buisness associates, the staff are great and a friendly bunch. Always somewhere close to park. No meters, even.

Review of Mothered Goose by coffee taster on Sat, 05 May 2007:

Another hit for a small town. Recently opened and all spit and polish. For parking, go round the corner...S.H. parking is a pain, if you can get it. Good range of food. Staff are friendly.

Review of The Chook and Filly by coffee taster on Sat, 05 May 2007:

A nice country cafe/bar on SH50, Hastings end. Worth going this way instead of SH2. Have a drink, (if you're not driving), or a meal or snack. Great place and setting. Good staff.
