My husband and I are visitors from overseas. We stopped by this coffee shop for, what we thought would be a relaxing drink and a bite to eat.
We were treated by a girl behind the counter with an unprofessional attitude. Unsure of what we wanted to order, the girl made us look like complete fools, to an obvious local, by giving us the: "oh, here we go, a couple who aren't from around here" look and smirk!
Your business and chosen profession are to deal with the public. You are a girl that works in a "coffee shop"! The attitude isn't something that people come in for. If you plan on serving the public, then do it. If not, choose another profession. You have lost a couple of customers and possibly more!
it was nice :)
but if your going to complain make you own coffee!!! good! what the hell people!!
One of my favourite cafes.I guess the fact that it is always packed says it all.The place has a great atmosphere and ambience to it,something just clicks. Enjoy a double shot flatwhite which is very good along with one of their dessert options. They obviously have some good systems to make service fast and friendly as this is a very busy place.Great place to relax and chill anytime of the day or night.9/10.
Just plain bad coffee - thin, far too hot, little or no crema. Can't believe they're still in business!
Worse than not so good but option not available. Service slow, unprofessional and coffee cold.
Need to sharpen up the act.
This place just doesn't cut the mustard!!!!!!!!!!!!
VISIT #1: Picked up a small takeaway cappuccino from CC Merivale on the way to work.
Only $2.90, but it was surprisingly small - CC's small coffees actually are small!
The taste was quite disappointing; usually with a takeaway cappuccino there's a nice burst of flavour at the top, but with this there was nothing. The coffee was very bland as well. I ordered it with an extra espresso shot, but I don't think that's what I actually got. I was only charged the single-shot price -- perhaps I didn't speak clearly enough when I ordered?
VISIT #2: Returned to try a large takeaway cappuccino, which was much better. Very drinkable, strong enough, and with good-tasting foam on top.
