I really like the mix of laid-back and friendly but still fast and professional, Can't ask for more than a great coffee served quickly with a good attitude.

My new local. Finally a place with a friendly atmosphere that serves good strong coffee. Doubles are standard and they have decent cabinet food too.

They're opposite the Jazz school which is handy as I've been there on weekends and they've had Jazz school cats in there doing their thing!

O...and there's a nice outdoor bit outback.

The Sav B Rocks!!!!!! out of this world coffee and heaps of delicious home made food. dope tunes and friendly casual atmosphere, YOU SHOULD TRY IT !!!!!!!

Good coffee but when we came to eat there was no food - infact this has happened to us twice and the explanation is that no food is made on premise rather it is purchased from other places and bought here - so that was disappointing.

Groovy shamelessly earthy retro 70s decor, an "Ubuntu-esqe" colour scheme, funky yet understated tunes burblin' away in the background, very personable staff who can also extract a pretty wicked brew make this cafe a favourite of mine, especially now that the Globe's standards have slipped. At Savoy Brown, they stick to their knitting - rock solid coffees and a few treats to have along side, not too much more. There's always a paper handy as well - all they need now is a wireless accesspoint and I'd shift my office there.
