Review of Xtreme Coffee by ricmac:

Coffee is nice and strong, for those that like a strong brew (and what coffee lover doesn\'t?). Tell the owner how you like your coffee and he will make it to your requirements. I\'m a regular at this place and the coffee is always superb and made just how I like it. There are 2-3 flavour beans to select from.

Review of Starbucks Lambton Quay by ricmac on Fri, 15 Apr 2005:

I've been here a couple of times in the past and found the coffee to be too weak. It's a bit like going to McDonalds and getting a chocolate milkshake, only to find they didn't put enough chocolate flavour in there (a common occurance too I'm afraid).

Starbucks is always expensive too, although I suppose it's a nice place to go with your laptop and to look at all the trendy people.

Review of Plum of Cuba by ricmac on Fri, 15 Apr 2005:

I've been here a few times in the past on weekends and it's a nice place for both food and coffee. The flat whites are a bit small, but it's a good strong brew and milk is nice n' frothy. I recommend Plum Cafe if you want to catch a bite to eat and a coffee, while out shopping in Cuba Mall or after a movie. The BLATs are always nice.

One piece of advice I'd make is to make their coffee cups a bit bigger :-)

Review of Lollipops Cafe by ricmac on Fri, 15 Apr 2005:

Lollipops is a kids play centre and I take my child there from time to time. Surprisingly the coffee is really good! Most other kids centres serve appalling coffee, but not Lollipops Wellington. You can sit down, sip a nice coffee and read the paper while your little one runs around the play centre. They make you a strong Flat White if you request an extra shot and can serve it in a big Latte-sized bowl. Bliss!

Big props to Lollipops, their coffee actually is a good excuse for me to take my child there to play :-)

Review of Cafe Saint Paul by ricmac on Mon, 10 Apr 2006:

I ordered a large flat white, because with most cafes a regular flat white comes in a tiny cup - which isn't what I want. However I was impressed/scared when I was presented with a *huge* mug, filled with a flat white. It was literally the biggest flat white I'd ever encountered. As a result, the coffee was slightly diluted with the water. But still, a nice coffee :-)

Review of Starbucks Lambton Quay by ricmac on Mon, 10 Apr 2006:

Sometimes the coffee is OK here, but last week when I went in to meet friends and my flat white coffee was very watery. It was probably one coffee too many for the day, but still...

I do like the white choc mocachinos that Starbucks do, so next time I'll stick to that :-)
