very good coffee shop in Riccarton, best coffee I have ever had, nice food, quite and ralex environment, I could bring any book from Borders to read while I am having my coffee!Excellent experience!
This is the Gloria Jean's cafe located inside the Borders bookstore opposite Westfield Riccarton (Riccarton Mall) on Rotheram St, Christchurch.
I had a small cappucino, which wasn't bad, and an excellent chocolate chip cookie. Nice variety of places to sit, from 4-place tables with wooden chairs to couches, some with full tables and others with low coffee tables.
It seems fairly popular, with a few people waiting to order most of the time, although never 100% full so I didn't have any trouble finding somewhere to sit. I brought my laptop to do some work and didn't feel out of place, as there were a few students doing homework or people reading books dotted around.
