After a deathly hike up around the Sumner Hills I pulled into Deli-Licous Cafe to get my fix for the day. I was absolutely knackered after my morning of exercise but walked into Deli-Licious to find myself with another burst of energy brought on by the fantastic up beat music of New Zealand band Katchafire. It always brings a smile to my face hearing our countries music in restaurants and cafe's around New Zealand, being that I am from a musical background also.

I was greeted by a very cheerful young lady, Holly, who continues to tell me she owns the cafe. After taking my order, a quick chat and collapsing my body on to the couch Holly very quickly brought over my Trim Latte and Vegetarian Frittata.

The Latte made by Holly was of an exceptional standard and the Frittata was to die for. Very moist and extremely filling. You definitely get what you pay for when you dine at Deli-Licious.

Today was the beginning to a new found relationship with Deli-Licious. It was just so nice to sit down, have a fantastic coffee and meal with great music and very friendly service. It makes a difference when someone really enjoys what they are doing; Holly can often be heard singing away out in the kitchen while she cooks her many delights.

I now visit here often and as early as possible to purchase the beautiful breads made here or the delicious muffins baked every morning. It has come to my attention of late that other people are quickly catching on to this good thing too as I have on occasion found myself fighting other customers for the few items left.

Deli-Licious is a great local Cafe that I think deserves all the merit it gets, it is run by a fantastic friendly crew that make you really enjoy your experience here.

Nice little cafe, across the road from Sumner's Hollywood Cinema. I was happy to see they had some proper sofas to sit on, and a few copies of today's newspaper scattered around - perfect for unaccompanied customers (like me) looking for something to do.

The coffee was pretty good, although the heap of chocolate powder on top was a bit of a disappointment after seeing the nice designs on the coffee from Wac and Pan Italia.

I had a slice of lasagne, which had a nice spicy taste, although the cheese / pasta on top didn't feel all that fresh. Also had a custard square, which was great.

The coffee and food arrived very quickly, and the service was friendly.
